"First of all, I want to express my pleasure and excitement regarding the conception of this program of pieces that can be performed as encores. The main idea was not so much to select titles from any particular instrumental category, but more to focus on works that have strong expressive power.
During the recording sessions, I felt a strong fervor and intensity as I realized how wonderfully my chosen pieces conveyed their musical substance.
I tried to combine the simplicity and purity of the original music with my own arrangements, which included musical collaborators Tatiana Chernichka at the piano, special guests Florent Jodelet and Emmanuel Curt on percussion, and double bassist Stéphane Logerot.
I hope this hour of music will remain close to your favorite recordings, not only because it features the horn! ... but also a musical offering of sincerity, honesty, and genuine intensity. Wishing you immense listening pleasure, but awaiting you at live concerts!"

INTERNATIONAL PRESS REVIEWS ABOUT THIS NEW ALBUM:

Classical Music Sentinel - Always on the Lookout for the Best Recordings
»I never imagined that the French Horn (Cor Français) could be capable of projecting such an array of expressive touches. [...]
The variety of pieces on offer here is enough to keep you listening, but along with Joulain's sensitive playing, makes for a compelling collection.
