The popular "evergreens" by Franz Schubert from his four-hand works: the grandiose Hungarian "Divertissement", polonaises, the popular and world-famous "Marche militaire" in D major – the selection of the two pianists Henning Lucius and Matthias Veit indulges Schubert's charm and dancing esprit and has enjoyed the popularity of a large audience for years.
This album tries to prove that "four-handed on the grand piano" does not have to sound like a battle at a cold buffet like two people at the narrow keyboard, but can present itself as airy and spacious as well as spirited, lyrical as well as dramatically colourful, light-footed as well as accentuated and orchestral, with the following programme: Polonaises op.61 (D 824), Divertissement à la hongroise in G minor op. 54 (D 818), Trois Marches Militaires op. 51 (D 733).

In addition to other recordings by the duo, who have been successful in concert life for many years, the other new album "Fantasien und Lebensstürme – The late Famous Works for Piano 4 Hands" (TYXart, album no. TXA22170) is now also available: With Schubert's great late works, the well-known Fantasia in F minor, the Allegro "Lebensstürme" and many others.
